Beehive Peak Field Trip
We have moved the Beehive Peak Field Trip from October 6 to October 24. We will be doing an auto tour of the area. We will meet at the Fishlake National Forest Offices in Richfield at 9am. Bring a lunch and plan to spend the bulk of the day touring the area and discussing the proposed backcountry designation and the Fishlake OHV route designation decisions for this area.
Please RSVP to me at (435) 865-3730 so that we can plan for numbers and warn people if we need to change plans because of inclement weather.

Autotour? I don’t think so. The way to see this country is to hike up

scenic is Willow Creek and most interesting is Cottonwood Creek,
immediately west of Richfield (but expect to get wet feet hiking this
one. I believe this part of the Pahvant Range is an unrealized scenic
wonder that ranks right up with the best Southern Utah has to offer.
If trailhead access was improved and OHVs were limited to select routes
on the ridges and kept out of the canyons, this area would become a dandy
non-motorized complement to the county’s reputation as an ATV destination
and attract people who currently drive by Richfield on their way to the
“red rock” country.
