Pictures from the Beehive Peak Field Trip
Yesterday, October 24, we conducted a field trip to the proposed Beehive Peak Backcountry area. Here are some pictures of the trip courtesy of Mark Muir, hydrologist on the Dixie and Fishlake Planning Team. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this area. Hey… it was a great day in the field. Very mild for late October. You’ll notice the short sleeves and the warm smiles. The participants were great. We had good discussion at each of the stops and even more great exchange as we traveled along the route. I think we really made some good progress on the ultimate defeniton of “back Country”, and there was great agreement on the north, west and south boundaries. The east boundry will take some work. We’ll need to look at each of the motorized intrusions on the east side and make a route by route decision as to purpose and value. Am sure we can come to a decision, if not a concensus. Thanks to all who took time from busy day to go along and offer input. Wish we could have had a representative from the UEC or Three Forest group.
